Dr Tan will go through your symptoms in detail, conduct a physical (and sometimes cognitive) examination, if necessary, order investigations such as CT or MRI scans, blood tests, nerve conduction tests, or an electroencephalogram (EEG), and prescribe medication if required. Nerve conduction tests are done in house by Dr Tan (see under 'Nerve conduction studies/EMG'). Follow-up visits may be arranged if needed to follow up test results or assess the outcome of treatment.
Patients under Workcover, TAC, Comcare, the Department of Defence, or the Department of Veterans Affairs are welcome to book an appointment provided preapproval is obtained from the relevant body if required. If your injury is related to your work or a road transport accident, negotiating the claims process can be a difficult and stressful experience. Our team is well-versed in handling compensation claims and dealing with insurers, lawyers, courts and tribunals, and we would be happy to help you through the process.
Telehealth consultations via a video link can be arranged for patients who live in regional or remote areas and who do not require a physical examination, if Medicare eligibility criteria are met.
